And there's more to this story but I couldn't ...NO! And there's more to this story but I couldn't find anything more current. The birth mother's husband, Evan's stepdad, was arrested in November after the transfer in August, for abusing Evan! http://forums.adoption.com/general-adoptive-parent-support/222583-evan-scott-johnson-update.htmlNealyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00745745996158980689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785239994537240122.post-49437176905920045822008-08-18T13:51:00.000-04:002008-08-18T13:51:00.000-04:00To play 'devil's advocate', courts and CPS routine...To play 'devil's advocate', courts and CPS routinely remove children from their families and pout them in foster care, without worrying about the emotional trauma of the child being separated from his birth family. Not all of these removed children are in immediate physical danger (as in the recent FLDS case). Google kidjacked.

The child you have written about should obviously stay with and be adopted by the foster family, as the birth parents are unable to care for him.

Decisions should be made with common sense, not hard and fast rules. CPS is an all-together fouled up system.MommaofManyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03652488613383365588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785239994537240122.post-92167104241822392132008-08-18T11:51:00.000-04:002008-08-18T11:51:00.000-04:00That kind of story makes my blood boil! Of course ...That kind of story makes my blood boil! Of course the child should stay with the family who has raised him his entire life! How traumatizing for him! Maybe allow visits by the bio mom once in a while but that's it. When she gave up her child, that was it. She shouldn't get him back now. If she truly cared about her child's best interest, she would let him stay with his family.Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00662324073938790059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785239994537240122.post-512656815596285332008-08-18T10:46:00.000-04:002008-08-18T10:46:00.000-04:00Absolutely not. Biology is nothing more than cells...Absolutely not. Biology is nothing more than cells and blood. A family is made with love and time and memories and caring and all the other little things we do for each other. If biology was so important I shouldn't love my husband as much as I do. This story makes me so sick and sad that they allowed this to happen. My heart breaks for that little boy who has been traumatized for life...Faithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05214489303596901528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785239994537240122.post-85858506782324211072008-08-18T09:55:00.000-04:002008-08-18T09:55:00.000-04:00I do not think that biology should trump.
