New Creations

Maya and Isaac gave their lives to the Lord while in Liberia, and they recently asked Kyle to baptize them. The pastor interviewed them, to be sure they knew what they were doing, and their interviews were played for the church just prior to their baptism.

Here's what Kyle said to the church just before their baptism:
Just like Ginger and I've adopted Isaac and Maya to be our son and daughter, because of what they've done--accepted Jesus into their life, God has accepted them into His family. We're very proud of them.

Oh that is so sweet!!! I am crying! My oldest is going back and forth with Salvation--she's getting really, really close and she wants Daddy to baptize her as well. While DH is an Ordained Reverend and former Pastor, not sure if he'll be able to as we have a Pastor in our church. I hope he can though, because I think that would be awesome for him to baptize one of his own kids.

Just soooo sweet!!!!

Praise the Lord!!! How wonderful that they are taking this step at such young ages, especially considering they just came home about a year ago! Please tell Maya and Isaac I am SOOOO proud of them! I was baptized at 8 years old in Africa, now they, the African's are being baptized around that same age in America!

Liz,

Our pastor is standing right behind Kyle. He asked each of the kids if they wanted him or their daddy to baptize them, since they are the heads of their families. The other kid that was baptized that day chose Pastor Mike. :)

Melodie,

Thanks so much for your kind words to Maya and Isaac. They love hearing from their Auntie Melodie. :) You're a blessing.

OK, tears are running down my cheeks! That was so beautiful and you must be so proud of them. I loved hearing what they had to say and hearing their voices. Sarah sat and watched with me and said that she wished they were here friends. Too bad we aren't close together!

Hi there! I am just trying to get the word out to other families who adopted (or are adopting) from Liberia, that the Charity of the Month for March is a family adopting a little boy named William from Liberia, and who already adopted a little girl named Naomi. I am stylizing blogs for $20 to raise money to go on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, and $5 of every blog stylized in March will go to their adoption. Thanks so much!
