I wish I'd had the option to choose 'Yes but we're forced to as we work in the health care field" for our input on "Vaccines- Do we do them".

We DEFINITELY do not do teh gardasil one for our teen/preteen daughters and we delay as much as possible, as we are homeschoolers and don't have to go thru the hassle of declining them in pub. school.

Please explain. You can't use exemptions if you work in health care? I used to work in health care, but no one ever even asked if I was vaxed.

I love this video---too funny. :)

I blindly vaxed with my first, but with my second, I started questioning it and he's also the one with the dev. delays.

Now our Pediatrician just doesn't bring it up.......

That's a rare blessing you've found in that Ped, Liz. I was kicked out of a Ped's office when I told him we don't vax. I asked him if he knew the ingredients in vaccines. He said he had no idea, but I was ignorant not to vax anyway. Uh huh.

I blindly vaxed with my first, submited and vaxed (while feeling like I was going to vomit or faint) with my second and did not vax with the third and will never vax again. DH is now onboard PTL!!

I vaxed blindly for years until a good friend (she's a nurse now) started cluing me in. I was required to vax my foster kids - it was looked at as parental neglect when a foster child came into care for whatever reason and the worker found out the child was behind on vax - and it made me cringe. I would never do it again. I kept signing waivers when my kids were still in school for the Hep B. series and wouldn't even consider the new Gardasil one for my girls even though it's all the rage now. My daughter is in nursing school right now and signed a waiver at first for the Hep B and a few other boosters I had not gotten her (on purpose). At one point, the students were told that if they didn't have the required immunizations, they would NOT be accepted into the VERY competitive nursing program (only 70 spots and over 400 applicants) so she decided to get them and made it into the program. Neither of us was too thrilled about that.
