A Few of My Favorite Things

Julie tagged me for this meme, listing three of my favorite things. Easy, shmeasy. Here we go:
  1. My favorite color is orange. It's bold and it's happy.
  2. My favorite way to unwind is with a bowl of cereal and a magazine. (I subscribe to No Greater Joy, Above Rubies, and Simple Scrapbooks.)
  3. My favorite way to spend time and money is on books.

I tag: Heartchild, Jenna B, Lori KY, my sister Jamie, MamaLiz, Jody, Faith, Katie, and Jill.

I was visiting this morning to tell you I tagged you! Mine is not that simple, but fun nevertheless!

I didn't know what a meme was so I googled it. Did you know the whole concept belongs to Darwin?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meme

On the basis of that I refuse to pass it on because I know that through the course of natural selection, people may not go along with my ideas and they would quickly die off without anyone noticing. And because I'm a Sanguine Choleric, I can't stand the thought that I'm not important. So I'm just gonna post my favorites here and hope you don't delete them , but that they'll live forever in cyberspace. :)

1. Being at the beach
2. Being at the beach with Mark
3. Being at the beach with my children

Oh good grief, Jody. You are quite verbose in your excuses. I think you didn't want to blog it b/c clearly you're redundant. LOL!

I am doing my list too---I just happened to check Julie's site today...Jody --whoever you are--you made me smile and laugh!! I didn't know what the word meme was either!! I've assumed it has been linked with Themes--but now I will look it up!!

From TheDailyMeme.com:

The term and concept of meme is from the 1976 book by Richard Dawkins, The Selfish Gene. Though Dawkins defined the meme as "a unit of cultural transmission, or a unit of imitation," memeticists vary in their definitions of meme. The lack of a consistent, rigorous definition of what precisely a meme is remains one of the principal criticisms leveled at memetics, the study of memes. (from the Wikipedia)

Reading in a hurry, Jody? lol I'm guilty of the same *most of the time*.

(This is not the first meme I've posted. I'm beginning to think you girlies are whizzing thru my blog too. Boo-hoo-hoo. :( )

I've posted from your memes...I'm beginning to think(well, not true--I've known for quite some time from the lack of my "ginger" comments) that you don't even whiz through my posts--hahahahahaha!! I meant I didn't know what meme was the first time I saw it on your blog, long long ago!

You know us girlies are Clark Chatter junkies right?! If you only knew how often we check out to see if you have a new post, you would feel honored:)!

Ok, Ginger, so after forever enjoying your comments over at The Conservative Life, I decided to finally come visit your blog. I'm so glad I did, I have had a lot of fun reading your adoption story and gazing at all your adorable children (is Pedro to old to be adorable, because I mean no offence :) ). Anyhow, I just wanted to say hi, and to let you know that MY favorite way to spend time & money is on books too! MamaMahnken

Hi to you too, Mahnken! So, what's your name at The CL? Glad you found my blog. You're funny-- Pedro being adorable comment. I'm highly offended and you may not ever comment here again. How dare you call my son adorable? I could go on. . . This is fun!

Thanks & welcome!
