Guess What We Just Got?!

Yesterday, Kyle called the post office to give them a head's up that we were expecting chicks next week. This morning the postmaster called to say they just arrived. What?!?!?! We're not ready yet! (Well, we mostly were but we didn't have the chick feed yet.)
Here are our newest additions:
The kids are all going nuts over these cute chicks, of course. Even Pedro, who's done nothing but make fun of us city slickers for getting chickens. He was the first to care for them.

OH GOOD another city slicker that is raising chichens!!! We now have 32. We also have 2 ducks and 4 rabbits. Enjoy! Our ds DREAMS of owning a ranch someday. This is just a nibble of what he desires to have. Oh well you have to start somewhere! Though I think we are maxed out on what the city will allow!

Wow Ginger...you really did it! I am truly amazed! I am just wondering if you got a few extras in case you "lose" one?

The hatchery we bought from has a guarantee, so we didn't buy extras. We did, however, buy the max we think we can handle. They're cheap enough to replace at $2 apiece anyway. :D

My daughter's ballet teacher had baby chicks and they were just adorable, and so warm and soft. My kids didn't like them though. Except for my 1 year old - he almost crushed one, LOL!
