I am so looking forward to the Olympics! This will be Maya, Isaac, and Daniel's first experience with Olympic competition. We've been talking it up, explaining it to them, and we plan to make it into a big geography lesson.
What are your plans for the Olympics? What summer sports do you enjoy watching?

OLYMPICS!! UGHHH, Sorry I just don't share the same passion. I really think it's boring! I just can't get into it, and I'm not sure why!
I must say...since I have been out of college, I have forgotten about the Olympics. I should probably try to remember it for the kids. I love the swimming!
I am very excited and so are the kids. I found a great site for some Olympics lapbooking activities that we will do and I am planning to make some homemade onion rings (for the Olympic rings) as a snack during the opening ceremony. Go Team USA. I really like the Olympics.
I generally watch the Olympics with only a half hearted interest. I like the gymnastics. This year, being in China has ruined it altogether for me. The increased suffering of the Chinese people in general and the Christians, specifically, is horrible. We are not watching at all.
We do eagerly look forward to the annual X-Games. We've watched quite a few events. Travis Pastrana is great!
Share your site, Angie!
We have a world map over our couch, so I sat up and pointed out each of the countries during the Parade of Nations. This morning, the kids couldn't wait to watch the games and were pointing out the countries they remembered. (Big ones, of course: Russia, China, India, The Congo (go figure!), etc. It was so cool!
:( :( :(
Well, I'm going to TRY not to whine and moan about how we are missing them because we don't have TV (we do watch movies)
stations.
I AM choosing to be thankful that my sweet Daddy is taping some of the diving, swimming, and ALL of the ladies gymnastics for me so that I can watch them in a few months. :)
Olympic season is one of the ONLY times I miss TV.
