Big Savings: Toys

Baby toys are a dime a dozen. They are so easy to find used and cheap, there's just no reason to pay retail for them. Before hitting the toy store or even WalMart, check Craigslist, garage sales, or your local thrift store.
I bet you'll find what you're looking for and I guarantee you'll save plenty of money in the process!
Have you gotten a great bargain on baby stuff? Tell me about it!

Also, I have found as I have more children, I need less stuff. If I had absolutely no baby gear and found that I was expecting, all I would procure would be clothes, diapers, a sling and a carseat. Later I would get a crib, but it is not needed for the first few months. Less is better!

YES!!! That is what I do. In fact last week I bought the type of bouncy seat in your picture for our youngest, 8months, for $20.00 off of craigslist. Perfect condition too! :)

A few years ago, in the Fall, I went to a Thrifty Store in another town and spend $20.00. I came back with a dozen toy trucks (big ones) for the kids to play in the yard and sand box. 6 electronic toys, those that sing, say the ABCs, the kids can learn the alphabet and numbers, press keys and do different things. We still have them and the youngest ones now are using them to learn the letters, colors and more. They are great to bring in long car drives. And they usually cost about $20.00/ each.

We also bought a big abacus made of wood that was in brand new condition.

I wish that Thrifty Store was closer. :)

PS how are your kids liking the click-n-read or spell website?? mine lost interest. any suggestions??

Wow! What a steal, Tereza!
My kids like Click n Read, but it's part of their school work, so I don't really give them the option of losing interest. ;) I am continually impressed with all they're learning with it though.
