My blondes have grown up eating lots of raw veggies. The triplets, however, had eaten very few vegetables before arriving in America. They would pick out every single vegetable from whatever we were eating. I started getting creative. I would chop up the broccoli so small, they couldn't pick it out. I grated carrots and hid it in their favorite meals. I told them that bell peppers would make their hair grow. It is always in the back of my mind: If they pick at their food at home, they'll do it when they're a guest in someone else's home. This thought has kept me from being a short order cook for my kids, although I sometimes think that might be easier.
Chloe LOVES carrots and has been asking for them to snack on almost every afternoon. Last week I packed a bunch of carrot sticks in our lunch for karate. (Isaac and Maya go to karate every T/Th 12:00-1:30). They were hungry so they ate it. Hunger can make you change your mind about a lot of foods, I've discovered. They decided carrots weren't too bad afterall! Since then they've been requesting carrots at snacktime.
I am honestly and truly amazed!

That's the cutest picture of Daniel I've seen! Keep up the creativity, Ginger - it's working!
That's awesome! Have you tried sweet potato fries? Or most all raw veggies taste great with peanut butter. OR Hummus! Just a thought:)
