That is one sickening article. I hope his parents end up keep him and his siblings home...where they belong!
This is absolutely ridiculous. Sadly, not everyone can homeschool their children (single moms, etc.) so in some cases bad teachers can't be avoided. My heart just goes out to these families and poor kids like this.
Actually, even single moms can homeschool. That's a myth. They would just need a stronger support system.
But given the amount of time actual schooling takes, when you subtract getting-the-class-in-order time and etc, it could easily be done just in the evenings. Schools are all day because people work all day, not because it actually takes that much time. ;)
My daughter was voted the bossiest girl in the class of 35 children. This crushed her and she didn't get over it for years. She went from being a bubbly, interesting person to a withdrawn, unsure shadow. It was condoned by the principle, just as this sad incident.
My questions is, why in the world is she still sending any of her children to such a horrible school?
