Game Playing

The other night, we had a Family Game Night and they all chose:
Kyle would whisper ideas in their ears before they started, then the acting began.
Maya was a bear, but she kept hopping and she wasn't very scary. We had a hard time with this one:
Liddy was playing a harmonica. Obviously. But long after we guessed it correctly, she kept right on playing her harmonica. So we had to pause the game and explain a few things.
Here's the new Clark signal for "You got it!":
Can you guess what Daniel was holding?
After a few seconds of us not guessing what Lydia was doing, she would just up and decide to act out something else. Daniel was trying to keep her on track, by whispering in her ear what she's really supposed to be doing. This happened repeatedly. I'm Curious: What family games do you like to play? Played any new ones lately?

Our family likes the game called Whoonu. It is made by Cranium. It is a great game for families because you guess which card (activity or item) the person would like best. That person then rates the cards in order of which he likes best. It is really fun for all ages but best if they can read.

We like Apples to Apples, Chinese Checkers, Scrabble, and Uno Attack.
I have many more games, because I get them el cheapo at yard sales. I think we need to institute a Family Game Night so we can play one a week and decide which ones we want to keep! I'm out of room in the chest I keep them all in....

Well, today my daughters (10 & 12) and I played move all of the furniture out of the 4 bedrooms into the living room and kitchen (within 30 minutes) so someone could (arrive 4 hours early) to clean our carpet! We won! It looks great!

Another game we like to play is chase our dog up and down the street, or play catch the doog before he takes that baby toy out the doggie door! We also like to play Baby broke another toy! He's a brute!

Ok, so a REAL game we like is Connect 4. We have been having tournaments. The purpose is to beat mom and dad.

Checkers, Connect Four, Go-Fish, Puzzles, Webkins(but that's not a family game--it's just that everyone in the fam except mom and Matthew play this)---we are simple game people, eh?

We love the game House Rules. It is from Focus on the Family. It is a really great game. There are always 2 teams which works great for littles. The questions are biblical and about rules of the home. It is great character training without the kids thinking they are being trained. The game board has different room on the house on it and you move through the house. Really fun and the kids ask to play a lot.

Right now my hubby is teaching our oldest three how to play chess. Our soon to be 7 year old son Kyle, is especially in love with it. He even "plays" against stuffed animals if there is an instance where nobody else is available.

That looks like fun! We like the game "Sequence for Kids". It only has chips for four players, but we just play with teams. :)

We like checkers, Charades (we have that game in your picture!)Uno attack, Cadoo by Cranium, and more that I cannot remember. We have Family fun nights and play then and also each child gets to stay up late one night a week and have some one on one mom and dad time, and we often play games then.
