Park Days

Now that the weather has gotten cooler, we've been spending as much time outdoors as possible. This is our slow time of schooling. I read our Bible study while we eat breakfast, and my only other goal is to get phonics done. Everything else is gravy. 1st priority is to enjoy this weather while it lasts!
While I was doing phonics with Maya and Elena, Daniel found a pair of scissors and snipped a big chunk out of his shirt. I wasn't thrilled. I told him he had to wear the shirt all day, so that Daddy could see it when he got home. (Then Daddy had a little talk with him.)
Luckily, we were the only ones at the park. Otherwise, I would have been embarrassed, thus punishing me and not Daniel, who didn't mind at all.

Lydia is such a good mommy. She pushed her pet horse, Clifford, for 10 full minutes. The poor horse was dizzy at the end of the ride.

Tonight, we had a picnic dinner in the park when Kyle got home. I'm kicking myself for not taking my camera. Kyle was racing the kids on their scooters. Have you ever seen a grown man on a little Razor? Well, this particular grown man was FAST!
I just love this time of year!

That's too bad you'll never be able to prove I was supposedly riding a "little razor".

Hah! Your husband sounds like mine.

Your playground at your park looks so nice. Our park down the road is putting in a new beautiful playground and your making me anxious to take mine. LOL

Maybe we'll race our racers to count as gym class. LOL

Uhm, have you ever seen a 6'6" man on a tiny little razor? Jonah LOVES them. He worked on Helitak(fire helicopter's that drop in the first firemen on big fires) and they had a huge compound. Whenever I would go visit him all the guys would be outside playing on the razor's. It was hilarious! They actually had them to get around the base, as it was big and they were very lazy men ;) but they played with them more than they used them for transportation...

oooo, I love stealing my kids razors :-) They are so much fun. I used to ride it when I was pregnant--that was quite the sight I'm sure! :-)
