Patience Equals Money

Well, I did it! I really did it! And you have no idea just how proud I am of myself! I twisted Maya's hair myself! Woo-Hoo! (Normally I pay $60/month to have her hair professionally twisted and it takes 2 hours. It took me 4 hours, but it was free.)

Remember when I said that I cut everyone's hair myself, just so I'll have enough money to have Maya's hair done? Well no longer!! Now I can have Chloe's hair professionally cut if I want to! Or color my hair purple if I feel so inclined! Or purchase my weight in hair clips so we'll never run out of the pink ones! (We never have enough pink hair clips. Never.)

What an exhilerating feeling!

Good for you Ginger!

I have always cut my girls hair. I took my oldest to a salon to get it cut once. They were so rough combing out her hair they made her cry. Never again. Now we have boys and I am learning to cut boy hair.

BTW, if you read my blog, I am sorry for the choice of our new does name. The children chose it, not me! LOL

I'm so excited for you! And if it took 2 hours this time, it will take 3-1/2 next time, and so on. Maya's hair looks terrific! I didn't realize you are always out of pink hair clips, so I'll see what I can do about that! CONGRATS!

You're awesome Ginger! Did you go out for a banana split when you finished? Maybe you should come up with some kind of reward system. For you, of course. Chocolate maybe? Or tiramisu? You get the idea. After four hours fixing hair, you deserve it!!

I am so amazed how many pictures you are in, Ginger! That's awesome! There has been one picture taken of me since the baby was born 2 months ago and I had to ask my dh to take it. It's so great to see you in action and I know your babies will love to look back on those someday.

Ha! Jamie, you're too good to me! Of course that wasn't 4 hours straight, ya know. I did it over two days.
I told Maya we'd get a special movie (or two!) for her to watch next time I do it. I'll also add tiramisu to the hair budget. I'm loving this revamped budget!!

I am so proud of you!! We must be drinking the same tea because I cornrowed Lillie's hair for the first time last week. I got tired of paying for it so I found some You Tube videos and conquered. It feels so good doesn't it?

WoooHooo!
Good Job Mom!

I am sure with practice, you'll be doing her hair in 2 hrs time....all the while enjoying a good movie or audiobook.

I hear ya on the hair clips. I can never find red ones....not even at the store. Red bows are a must buy if I see one.
