Master Cleanse Update

I finished a 14 day Master Cleanse. I felt terrific during the cleanse and I'm doing great now as well. I realized that I had given the wrong recipe to someone earlier. Here's the correct recipe for the lemonade:
1 oz. fresh-squeezed lemon or lime juice
1 oz. grade C maple syrup
8 oz. filtered water
1/10 tsp. cayenne pepper
I really like the juice. It tastes like a spicy lemonade and I never got hungry, although food started looking really desirable by Day 8. You're supposed to drink 6-12 glasses/day, and I noticed that I needed 8 glasses to feel satisfied throughout the day. I highly recommend this cleanse.

Readers might enjoy learning the purpose of each ingredient, since each has its own specific task for the cleanse to be effective.

How is your eczema? Allergies? Do you plan to cleanse on a regular basis? If yes, how often?

I am so proud of you! You did it!! Magic Time Machine better look out, Ginger can eat again!

I agree with Nealy. You should let us all know what the cleanse has done for your health. Because that's what makes it all worth it.

Love you!

Are you allowed to drink as much water as you want?

Melodie,

Yes, you can drink all the water you want.

Nealy & others,

My eczema is great. Almost completely healed, but no more itching! My allergies have also not been a problem at all. I would like to do the cleanse at least twice a year. Up to 4 times/year is fine.

I am counting the days until Jodi is weaned/almost weaned until I too can do the master cleanse. I guess I'll be visiting this subject again in 2 years! LOL

My husband and I are doing the master cleanse(r) together. Today is day one! Just curious: Is it true that any weight you lose you put right back on? LOL

PS Your blog is an inspiration to me. I have 2 girls (10/12) and am a mother through foster care to 2 boys (5 mos and 12 mos) + one baby boy who is now living with relatives.

Heather,

Yes, that's mostly true. This is a cleanse, not a diet. Assuming you eat more than just fruits and veggies usually, you'll gain the weight back.
:D

And thank you!
