Barefoot Climbing

These pictures taken just for my friend Katie, who says kids can't climb trees in flip-flops. Isaac and Maya begged me to buy them flip-flops as soon as they saw them in the stores. That's all they wore in Liberia, so they feel at home in them.
Chloe wasn't even wearing shoes. So there, Katie!
Isaac wanted me to take a picture of him falling out of the tree. Unfortunately, I was out of space in my memory card. He hung there patiently while I deleted a few pictures and turned the camera on again. LOL!
Hey, where's Daniel think he's going? I told you that boy was fast!
Liddy's too small to climb trees, so she collected rocks instead. She asked me to take a picture of her rocks. She's confident you'll be impressed.

So there you have it, Katie. Even city kids can have fun!

What fun!!! My mother used to say that if she didn't know where I was, I was probably up a tree somewhere and I hardly ever wore shoes....LOL

What fun to have such big, strong trees to climb :)

I am impressed. Mommies never fully appreciate connoisseirs of rocks! I collected very fine rocks when I was little, and my children follow in my footsteps. They can be kept, pave the garden, added to plaster for stepping stones, put into frames...

That sounds like my method of taking pictures. Hold on while I delete some pictures. Oops! Let me try again, LOL!
